"From the same proving ground as Nubya Garcia and fellow award-winning artists Binker & Moses, Shabaka Hutchings, Eska, Denys Baptiste, Nerija and Ezra Collective, StringTing is another flagship ensemble from Tomorrow’s Warriors, the celebrated hothouse for young jazz talent in the UK. Mentored by jazz double bassist and Tomorrrow's Warriors Artistic director, Gary Crosby OBE, and led by violinist Rhiannon Dimond, the band plays a wide range of  jazz repertoire and has worked with the likes of Steve Williamson, Brinsley Forde, and Jazz Jamaica All Stars. Blazing a wide trail for women and strings in jazz, StringTing's players are core players in Tomorrow's Warriors acclaimed Nu Civilisation Orchestra, and are ones to watch as they begin to make an indelible mark on the London jazz scene." - Tomorrow's Warriors

Established in 2016 by Gary Crosby OBE, they are a very unique string ensemble with their sound being a mixture of jazz and contemporary influences, and focused around improvisation. They perform a mixture of repertoire, from quirky self-written arrangements of jazz standards, to pieces which have been composed specifically for the group. In the last 2 years they have played at festivals including the EFG London Jazz Festival, the Woman of the World Festival & Cheltenham Jazz Festival, and venues including Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, The Royal Festival Hall, Pizza Express Jazz Club, & The Southbank Centre. They were requested by Wigmore Hall to perform a concert during their Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition 2018, and as a group have received top quality masterclasses from cuban jazz violinist Yillian Canizares, Parliamentary Jazz Award winner Peter Edwards, & MOBO Award winner Binker Golding. In 2019 Julia Vaughan & Rhiannon Dimond are to begin Masters in Jazz Performance at Guildhall School of Music, go on tour with saxophonist Steve Williamson, and play with the BBC Concert Orchestra in the EFG  London Jazz Festival, as well as other exciting projects yet to be announced.
